Christophor Columbus had many family members. His mother was called Susanna Fontanarossa and his father was called Domenico Colombo. He also had a wife, called Filipa Moniz Perestrelo. He has three brothers, one called Bartholomew Columbus, one called Giovanni Pellegrino Columbus and the last brother was called Giacomo Columbus. He also had a sister called Bianchinetta Columbus and two sons, called Diego Columbus and Ferdinand Columbus.

Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa, Italy in 1451. He later died due to a severe case of athritis on May 20th, 1506 in Valladolid, Spain.

Achievements and discoveries:

Christopher Columbus made four trips across the Atlantic Ocean from Spain: in 1492, 1493, 1498 and 1502. He was determined to find a direct water route west from Europe to Asia, but he never did. Instead, he stumbled upon the Americas.
